๐Ÿ†š Player Comparison : Wilson vs Isak
Following a visit from Arsenal, Newcastle have a double gameweek in 36 where they take on a struggling Leeds followed by Brighton. The two Newcastle forwards are currently battling for the number 9 spot – but who should we be picking for our FPL teams?
๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ Wilson. The England striker has had a phenomenal April, scoring 8 goals and racking up 54 points along the way. That is almost 8 points per game. What makes this all the more impressive is that he started on the bench for four of the past six games. Wilson plays a very different game to Isak with 10 shots in the box, yet only 18 passes in the final third and 1 through-ball – he is ever the poacher.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช Isak. Currently keeping Wilson out of the starting line up, Isak has returned in 4 of the last 6 games including a brace in GW32. With 4 goals in that period, Isak is creative too, with a huge 68 passes in the final third. His assist against Southampton put him on his way to picking up 2 bonus points as well.
๐Ÿค” So who is the pick?
With Wilson in this kind of form we can probably expect him to start – or has playing the sub role meant he can be more explosive?ย
Isak has the higher expected minutes; Wilson perhaps has to be managed with his injury record – but his current goal scoring streak cannot be ignored. Plus he is owned by just 4.9% of teams.
Will you be bringing in one of the Newcastle forwards? If so, which one?
