🆚 Player Comparison : Salah vs De Bruyne

 

Liverpool and Man City have a double gameweek, with attractive fixtures. Is there a decision to be made on which of their midfield talisman to have in your team?

 

🇪🇬 Salah

 

The Egyptian winger hasn’t quite hit the FPL heights of last seasons, but he still sits second as one of the highest scoring midfielders in the game.  Five goals in the last six gameweeks, which even included two misses from the penalty spot, he registered 20 shots in the box.

 

Spurs are up first who have shipped a massive 11 goals in the last 3 matches, we can expect Liverpool to capitalise on a defence that is in disarray.

 

Fulham’s defence doesn’t fair much better, failing to keep a clean sheet in their last 8 games.

 

 

🇧🇪 Kevin De Bruyne

 

The Belgian was at his scintillating best last time out against Arsenal, clocking up two goals and an assist on his way to a 19 point haul. City had set up in such a way he was afforded more freedom to advance. In fact, De Bruyne racked up 49 points in the last four matches alone. A word of warning however,  prior to that run, he managed only 11 minutes in GW27 as Pep isn’t afraid to manage his minutes and save his star man for the big occasion.

 

City probably have the easiest of all the double gameweek fixtures with Fulham first followed by a West Ham team who have only managed 8 clean sheets all season.

 

🤔 Could both be essential picks for their double gameweek? Salah is not quite at his “best” and KDB at risk of rotation for one game at least – but the fixtures present too good a proposition to ignore.
