Gameweek 9, Top Transfers In/Out :

Unless you’ve been on a wildcard 🦁♦️, you may not even have looked 🙈at your FPL team in almost 2 weeks!

With the international 🌎 break largely leaving FPL teams unscathed from an injury perspective, transfer activity has been towards the lower end. Nevertheless, here’s the top combinations this week:

Estupinan 🇪🇨🏖️ (32% ownership) OUT

Cash 🇵🇱💷 (32% ownership) IN

Simple one this. 👌 Estupinan looks likely to miss at least the next 2 games through injury 🤕, and had blanked 😶 in 5 of his last 6 anyway as part of Brighton’s leaky 💧defence. Cash 💰 has only returned in half his games this season, but has been a consistent presence for a much improved Villa team, sometimes even playing further forward ⏭️ than his defender categorisation might suggest. Villa also have a great upcoming set of fixtures ✅ – while FPL’s official fixture difficulty rankings shouldn’t be your be-all and end-all here, it’s hard to argue with 5 of the next 6 scored at just 2️⃣

Saka 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (48% ownership) OUT

Salah 🇪🇬👑(36% ownership) IN

The most owned midfielder is also the most transferred out 😱. Saka missed the City match with a hamstring injury 🤕, and remains a doubt for this weekend. That said, Arsenal’s fixtures look interesting for the next few weeks (SHU (H) & BUR (H) being particularly interesting) so this could be one people regret 🤔. Salah, much derided at the start of the season, is now a must-have 🤩, particularly after a 1️⃣5️⃣ point return last time out and a great looking set of fixtures over the next 8 or so weeks ✅✅

Alvarez 🇦🇷 (33% ownership) OUT

Watkins 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (32% ownership) IN

Watkins is likely to take Alvarez’s mantle as the second 🥈most owned forward this week. While Alvarez has still been consistently starting ✔️, he’s blanked 😐 in 2 of his last 3 and has a tough few fixtures coming up 🙄. Watkins has only blanked 😶once this season and has great fixtures coming up 😇- that said, don’t expect him to repeat his GW7 heroics every week (he’s delivered exactly 5 ✋🏼points in the majority of games this season.)

Estupinan 🇪🇨 🏝️ (32% ownership) OUT

Burn 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🔥(11% ownership) IN

Despite being only the third 🥉 most owned Newcastle defender, given Botman’s injury 🩼and Trippier’s price 🤑, Burn is quickly becoming the go-to. With 3 CS in their last 4 and a decent short term run of fixtures, a Newcastle defender looks a solid alternative replacement option for the injured Estupinan ✅
