Gameweek 5, Top Transfers In/Out :
ย
After an eventful international ๐ŸŒŽ break, it feels like a long time ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ since we last had to look at FPL. Hereโ€™s whoโ€™s been transferred in and out over the last 2 weeks:
ย
Top 5 transfers in:
ย
Son ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท (Spurs) ~550k transfers in, now ~12% ownership – Unsurprisingly a 20 ๐Ÿ’ทpoint return leads to a lot of transfers in. The position change, with Son playing CF suggests further points potential โฌ†๏ธ. But 3 blanks ๐Ÿ˜ถ in 3 games prior to that demonstrate the risks. Nevertheless, Sheffield United at home ๐Ÿ  is not a bad place to try this move out โœ…
ย
Maddison ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ (Spurs) ~500k transfers in, now 28% ownership – the cheaper ๐Ÿ’ต Spurs attacking asset, and with 7+ points in 3/4 games, arguably the more consistent option ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. With 2 goals, 2 assists, and 4 bonus points, thereโ€™s plenty of points potential, but is he a better option than Son, or is the double up even worthwhile? ๐Ÿ‘ฏ
ย
Alvarez ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท (M City) ~500k transfers in, now 15% ownership – with 17 goals โšฝ๏ธ across all competitions for City in his debut season, no oneโ€™s doubting the potential for points here – the problem in the past has been rotation ๐ŸŽ  risk. But with 4 starts and 89 minutes minimum in every PL game this season, KDBโ€™s injury ๐Ÿค• is helping Alvarez flourish. 2 goals and 2 assists for a bargain ๐Ÿ’ฐ6.7m isnโ€™t bad either โœ…
ย
Romero ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ท (Spurs) ~400k transfers in, now 14% ownership – master of consistency with 6-7 points from every game this season making him the ๐Ÿ” scoring defender ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ this season, and 2 goals โšฝ๏ธ in 4 games showing his attacking potential too. Accessible price at 4.7m too โœ…
ย
Ferguson ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช (Brighton) – 300k transfers in, now 8% ownership – 17 points from a 6.0m forward is always going to attract attention ๐Ÿคฉ. But, starting on the bench ๐Ÿช‘in 50% of games this season and a potential injury ๐Ÿฉผrisk makes him a somewhat risky move for now. One to monitor ๐Ÿ‘€

Top 5 transfers out
ย
Jackson (Chelsea ) ~300k transfers out, now 19% ownership – many are losing patience ๐Ÿ˜ค with the Chelsea striker after 3 blanks in 4 games. Nevertheless, an upcoming fixture against Bournemouth ๐Ÿ๏ธdoesnโ€™t seem an obvious point to jump off ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
ย
Isak (Newcastle) ~250k transfers out, now 27% ownership. Still the second ๐Ÿฅˆmost highly owned forward despite 3 blanks ๐Ÿ˜ถin a row. However, Newcastle ๐Ÿฐ had some very tricky fixtures to start the season, and transferring him out exactly when those fixtures turn seems an odd move to me ๐Ÿคท
ย
J Pedro (Brighton) ~250k transfers out, now 14% ownership – makes the list for a second โ˜๏ธweek in the row, despite starting last game. Understandably, 3 points in 3 games had many people wielding the axe ๐Ÿช“ , particularly when thereโ€™s better cheap-ish options emerging. Makes sense to move him on โœ…
ย
Botman (Newcastle) ~250k transfers out, now 14% ownership – missed the last game with an injury ๐Ÿค• and looks likely to miss the next one too. Nevertheless, a cheap ๐Ÿค‘option with good upcoming fixtures – so not a definite transfer out for me ๐Ÿค”
ย
Wissa (Brentford) – 230k transfers out, now 16% ownership – a somewhat surprising one here, but 2 blanks ๐Ÿ˜ถ in 2 games + a tricky away fixture at Newcastle ๐Ÿฏ. However, good games after that and a cheap nailed ๐Ÿ”จstarter, but is Mbeumo a better option? ๐Ÿง
