• Four matches into the new season and Nicolas Jackson has already been given the elbow by over 200,000 FPL managers.

Delving into the data underlines the issue for Jackson – his goal conversion rate is just 6.7% this season.

It’s worth noting that of the 120 players to muster 25 or more shots in La Liga in 2022/23, he returned the best goal conversion rate (29.3%), but it’s still very early in his career and a lot of faith has been placed in him based on relatively few matches.

Still, the fact Jackson has been presented with more big chances than any other player bar Erling Haaland so far is something we should value, as it shows he’s consistently getting into good positions in the box.

Similarly, he’s now poised to face Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Fulham and Burnley, some of the worst-performing defensive sides in the Premier League so far in 2023/24. [via Fantasy Football Scout ]
