Gameweek 4 Preview ; TOP Transfers IN/OUT :
3 min read
As we swiftly approach the end of the transfer window 🪟 and the international 🌍 break, here are the most popular transfers for this week!
Top 5 transfers in:
Sterling (Chelsea) ~900k transfers in, now ~14% ownership – After a huge 19 point return last week (2 goals ⚽️, an assist 🥅, 3 bonus) and with one of the best runs of upcoming fixtures, it’s no surprise to see Sterling the most transferred in player. He did blank 😶 the first 2 games, so not a slam-dunk, but the upcoming fixtures are attractive, as is the price ✅
Maddison (Spurs) ~700k transfers in, now 20% ownership – a rollercoaster 🎢 of a week for Maddison who went from leaving the stadium on crutches 🩼 in GW2, to a double 🪢 digit return and a strong all-round performance in GW3. The fixtures are mostly good as well (Burnley and Sheffield United up next) and provided he can stay fit, he’s a great asset ✅
Gusto (Chelsea) ~600k transfers in, now 11% ownership – 14 points from a 4.0m 🤑defender is always going to attract interest. 2 assists and a clean sheet in a top week, and likely to start against Nottingham Forest 🌳 this weekend too. However, with rumours of a James return as soon as GW5, is he worth bringing in for what could be 1 game only? 🤔
Udogie (Spurs) ~530k transfers in, now ~10% ownership – another budget 💰defender with a double🧬 digit return in GW3. This one could be a longer term hold though – Udogie looks nailed 🔨 to start and has possibly the best attacking potential of any ~4.5m defender ✅
Cash (Villa) ~400k transfers in, now 12% ownership – a lot’s happened since Cash 💵 returned negative 📉 points in GW1. 23 points in the 2 games since, driven by an out of position game at right wing 🪽 against Burnley. Not clear whether this is the plan long term, but certainly seems a good option, albeit the immediate fixtures aren’t the easiest ✅

Top 5 transfers out
Shaw (Man United) ~700k transfers out, now 10% ownership – injured 🤕 and looks like he’ll be out for some time. An easy transfer out ✅
Gabriel 😇 (Arsenal) ~450k transfers out, now 17% ownership. Didn’t even make it off the bench 🪑 in GW3. Just 2 points all season. Still high ownership, but surely an easy sell now ✅
Rashford (Man Utd) ~400k transfers out, now 38% ownership – another to make the list for a second week in a row. His first returns of the season (2 assists 🥅 last week) have not been enough to convince owners given the plethora of midfield options available, with a tricky fixture this week not helping. That said, a position shift out to the wing 🪽 may actually help him and the fixtures do turn attractive – pros and cons of selling here 🧐
J Pedro (Brighton) ~350k transfers out, now 18% ownership – benched 🪑for the second week in a row and got just 1️⃣ point in the 30 minutes he was on the pitch. Understandable that owners are losing patience, a fair sell ✅
Mitoma (Brighton) ~293k transfers out, now 42% ownership – an interesting one, particularly given Mitoma was one of the most transferred in players last week! 🤯Blanked in GW3 but 3 attacking returns ⚽️🥅🥅 in 3 games is not a bad start to the season by anyone’s measure. This appears to be more fixture related with Brighton having tough games against Newcastle 🏰, Man United, Liverpool and Man City in their next 6. With many people already owning Estupinan, moving off the double/triple up does make sense ✅

What transfers are you making this week? And what do you think of the trends so far?
