Gameweek 30 Captaincy – nice to get double 🪢 digit returns from both our main 🔝captaincy options last week. In what feels like the first ‘normal’ 🤷‍♂️ GW in a while, we present to you Haaland, Rashford and our differential pick Maddison

It’s a really open week for the captaincy 🧢this week. As well as the players mentioned here,  Watkins, Kane, and even one of a myriad of Newcastle/Brighton options could make sense 🤔. However, we’ve gone for 2/3 of the most owned players in the game, who both have the form and fixture to pick up some serious ‼️ points. 

 

 

It’s worth noting that across all competitions, Manchester City have scored 17 goals in the last 3 games – with Haaland scoring no less than 8 of those 🤯. Yes, he’s been injured 🤕 and yes, he’s unlikely to get 90 minutes 🙄 given Bayern on Tuesday, but this is a player who can score as many goals in 60 mins as most can in 9️⃣0️⃣. On 42 goals ⚽️ this season, he needs 3 more to have his best ever career total in a season, and he’s up against rock 🪨 bottom  ⬇️ Southampton to do so. 

If you’re put off by the minutes risk for Haaland, Rashford is a great alternative ✅ – 15 goals this season, including the winner last time out vs Burnley and with a home 🏠 fixture against 16th placed Everton. Both players are likely to have penalty duties 🥅and both are great captaincy options.

 

 

Differential – Maddison 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (Bournemouth (H) – 11% ownership) 

 

Maddison makes it in as our punt pick this week despite the double blank 😶last time round. Despite not being in the best form, Leicester have scored in their last 4 league fixtures ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ and a home 🏠 fixture against Bournemouth 🏖️(with one of the worst defences in the league) is an opportunity to add a few more. Still the focal point of Leicester’s attack, he would be a punty ⚠️ pick, but in a week where the captaincy 🧢 is as open as this one, could be an intriguing option.
