Gameweek 3 Preview ; TOP Transfers IN/OUT :

With the combination of many people rolling 🎢 a transfer GW1 and a bunch of new injuries and red cards 🎴 to deal with, it’s no surprise to see lots of transfers, with the most popular options (given below), all seeing 300k+ teams transfer them in or out already this week:

Top 5 transfers in:

Mbeumo (Brentford) ~650k transfers in, now ~19% ownership – The second 🥈highest points scorer in the game so far with 23 points, including a bumper 16 point haul last week 💯. Currently on the same amount of goals (3) as Chelsea and Man United combined 😅. 3 of the next 4 games are home 🏠 fixtures at Crystal Palace 🏯, Bournemouth 🏝️ and Everton. A great option ✅

Estupinan (Brighton) ~500k transfers in, now ~61% ownership – Also made this list last week 👯‍♂️, and remains the highest owned defender in the game. Incredibly on 18 points in 2 games despite zero clean sheets 🧻. A goal ⚽️, 2 assists 🥅 and 4 bonus points would be solid returns for any position thus far, and as arguably the most nailed 🔨 asset in an in form Brighton team, he’s another good buy ✅

Wissa (Brentford) ~500k transfers in, now 13% ownership – most likely a common switch from Joao Pedro (6th most transferred out) due to the position/price point but having a great start in his own right with 2 goals ⚽️ and an assist 🥅 in the opening 2 games. Has the same decent set of fixtures as Mbeumo, but does open the question as to whether a Brentford double up 🪢 is viable and if not, which asset is preferable. Nevertheless, not a bad option at all ✅

Mitoma (Brighton) ~400k transfers in, now 43% ownership – the fifth 5️⃣ most selected player in the game (and quickly closing in on 4th.) Brighton have a couple of trickier games coming up (Newcastle 🏰 at home and Man U 👹 away in the next 3) but Mitoma has averaged 85 minutes per match for 17 points thus far, and looks as nailed ⚒️ as it gets in the in-form Brighton attack ✅

March (Brighton) ~400k transfers in, now 9% ownership – not really a player who was being talked 🗣️ about pre-season, now the highest scoring in the game 🥇with 24 points. Tops the ICT index too thus far. But is triple Brighton a viable play? 🧐 ✅

Some interesting things to note – the top 5 transfers in are exactly the same 5 players as the top 5 points scoring players 🤩. They all play for Brentford/Brighton, they are all priced from £5.2-6.7m and they all have at least 3 attacking returns thus far 🤔. It will be interesting to see how this develops of either of those teams start to lose form, particularly bearing in mind Brighton’s trickier upcoming fixtures

Top 5 transfers out

Stones 🪨 (Man City) ~500k transfers out, now 11% ownership – injured 🤕 and confirmed out for several weeks by Pep. Could be back as soon as 3 GWs time given the international break, but 5.5m is a lot for a defender who sits on your bench 🪑✅

James (Chelsea) ~450k transfers out, now 9% ownership – also injured 🤕 also out until after the international break at least, also expensive💰 for a defender. Get rid ✅

Gabriel 😇 (Arsenal) ~400k transfers out, now 25% ownership. Still the fifth most selected defender in the game despite starting no matches this season ❌. Despite an injury 🤕 to Timber and a red card 🔴 to Tomiyasu still hard to say for certain he starts the next game. Saudi 🇸🇦 links. Also expensive for a defender. Easy transfer out now I’d say ✅

Rashford (Man Utd) ~350k transfers out, now 45% ownership – perhaps a less obvious one ☝️. The 4th most selected player in the game clearly hasn’t started the season in great form (like the rest of his team). Nevertheless, Nottingham Forest 🌳 at home 🏡 next game is not an obvious exit point. I do wonder how many started the season on the Rashford/Bruno double up and are now getting rid of one. Personally I’d wait a week if I only owned Rashford 🤷‍♂️ 👀

Mac Allister (Liverpool) ~350k transfers out, now ~7% ownership – red card 🔴 last GW means he’s one of only 3️⃣ players on negative points ⬇️. That has now been overturned so he won’t be missing any fixtures. However as a 6.0m MID there are clearly better options who not much more expensive out there. Not necessarily the biggest problems in people’s squads but makes sense to get rid if you can. ✅

What transfers are you making this week? And what do you think of the trends so far?
