Fernandes✔: DGW versus CRY and LEE both at home makes Fernandes a captain competitor after returns in five consecutive games.
Rashford✔: A Rashford that cannot stop scoring (5G in six games) and a DGW versus CRY and LEE makes him an obvious captain option.
Shaw✔: Probably the most nailed defender in MUN and the biggest offensive threat in the defensive line [xGI of 0.17 per 90’]. MUN have kept the majority of their clean sheets at home.
Mitoma✔: BHA have scored fourth most goals (37) and currently Mitoma is the one who scores them. BOU have conceded most goals in the league (48).
Saka✔: EVE have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven games. Saka and ARS are in good form and as a bonus ARS have a DGW next GW.
OUT:
Cancelo✔: Have only played one full game since GW17. On his way to Bayern Munchen on loan too
Almirón✔: NEW have only scored once in their last four games and Almiróns xGI of 0.15 per 90’ in the last three games is far from impressive.
Martinelli✔❌: Saka, Ødegaard and Nketiah are in better form but Martinelli’s underlying numbers are still in the same class as both Saka and Ødegaard. Patience might pay off but in a WC I would probably get the other three before the brazilian.
Mitrović✔❌:Two consecutive blanks and next up is CHE who have kept two clean sheets in a row. However, NFO(H) in GW23 might be reason enough to keep him at least one more GW.
Salah✔: Four blanks in a row and LIV have scored only one goal in three games. £12.8 cannot be justified.
