Aside of goalkeeper Jason Steele (£4.5M), the differentials picked for the opening gameweek performed very well as each of Jarrod Bowen (£7M) and Yoane Wissa (£6M) scored a goal and collected maximum bonus points to combine for eighteen points. The differential options for this second gameweek may also come in handy..

Luis Díaz – Liverpool (£7.5M):

Having notched his first goal for Liverpool in the opening gameweek, the Colombian is cheaper than teammates Mohamed Salah (£12.5M) and Diogo Jota (£8M) but offering a similar appeal in fantasy football terms, especially with the former recently occupying a more creative role during pre-season. Against Chelsea, Díaz recorded the most shots attempted by any Liverpool player with four and had the only one on target as well as delivering a key pass. With a home tie versus Bournemouth this gameweek, the forward should be looking to have his name on the scoreboard again!

Moussa Diaby – Aston Villa (£6.5M):

Recently recruited by Aston Villa, the French international has already hit the ground running with fantastic performances during pre-season and already opened his Premier League account of goals last gameweek. Among Aston Villa players, he had the most shots on target against Newcastle and only Lucas Digne (four) has created more chances than he did, with three. Interestingly, he is often playing close to the penalty area of the opponents, similarily to another striker besides Ollie Watkins (£8M), improving his fantasy football appeal.

Taiwo Awoniyi – Nottingham Forrest (£6.5M):

Starting from the bench last gameweek, the Nigerian striker may have a chance to feature in the starting line-up this time after coming on to find the net in the opener. He will be looking to duplicate his goal-scoring form from last season, throughout which he had ten goals to his name, especially as Nottingham Forrest has been strengthening the team nicely during the last two campaigns in a way that should be beneficial for their strikers to profit from more chances created by their teammates presented to their feet in order to score.
