Gameweek 18, Day 1, Key Notes:

⏱️ West Ham 0 – 2 Brentford
⚙️ xG: 1.24 – 1.63
🔍Big Chances: 0 – 2
🚀 Shots (SoT): 20(5) – 9(6)

📜 Notes:
• Ivan Toney finished 2022 with yet another brilliant performance. He fired 3 shots, created 1 big chance and ended up with a goal and an assist in the match to take his tally to 22 goals and 6 assists for the calendar year. Sadly the Brentford captain had to be stretchered off the field due to a knee injury and will most likely be out for the next few games ar least.
• West Ham have now lost 5 games in a row. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in 14 out of the 17 games played this season

⏱️ Liverpool 2 – 1 Leicester
⚙️ xG: 2.12 – 0.99
🔍Big Chances: 3 – 3
🚀 Shots (SoT): 21(5) – 7(2)

📜 Notes:
• With 7 shots and 2 chances created, Darwin Núñez was involved in 43% of all Liverpool’s shots. He however still could not finish even once. Despite having 0.75 xG per 90 (2nd highest) and 6.0 shots per 90 (highest), he has managed just 0.57 goals per 90 (13th). Squandering!
• Liverpool have conceded 47 big chances this season. Only Fulham (53) and Leeds (48) have conceded more. Their defence is still an avoid!
• Wout Faes is the fourth player with two own goals in a single Premier League game, after Jamie Carragher (1999, Liverpool vs Man Utd), Michael Proctor (2003, Sunderland vs Charlton) and Jonathan Walters (2013, Stoke vs Chelsea).
