• Goal Threat
No prizes for guessing who keads the charts for Goal Threat stats for the opening 8 GWs. Erling Haaland has scored 11 goals (1st) from an xG of 6.52 (1st), fired 27 shots (2nd), 17 Shots on Target (1st), 24 Shots in the box (=2nd), has had 14 Big Chances (1st).

• Mitrovic and Kane follow Haaland.
Mitrovic has scored 6 goals (=2nd) from an xG of 4.38 (3rd), has fired 31 shots (1st), 16 Shots on Target (2nd), 25 Shots in the box (1st) and has had 8 Big Chances (2nd). Mitrovic has already faced Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool during this period and has just 1 game with a fixture difficulty rating of above 3 until the World Cup.

Kane on the other hand gas also scored 6 goals (=2nd) from an xG of 4.72 (2nd), has fired 24 Shots (=3rd), 13 Shots on Target (=3rd), 18 Shots in the Box (4th) and has had 8 Big Chances (=2nd).

• Creativity
No surprises here as well as KDB is well ahead of anyone in the league when it comes to creativity. He has provided 6 assists (1st) from an xA of 3.12 (1st), has created 25 Chances (1st) and 8 Big Chances (1st). He is on corners and freekicks for City as well.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has managed to get 5 FPL Assists so far, but has somewhat overperformed his numbers. He has managed these 5 assists from an xA of just 1.39 and has created 14 Chances but only 1 Big Chance so far in 8 GWs.

Dejan Kulusevski has provided 3 Assists (=3rd) from an xA of 1.74 (2nd). Kulu has also created 12 chances including 3 Big Chances. Kulusevski has however got injured in the international break.

• Defenders
William Saliba has been the top scoring defender with 2 Goals, 1 Assist and 3 Clean Sheets. He has also sort of outperformed his numbers as well. Saliba has scored 2 goals from 3 shots (2 shots on target) from an xG of just 0.37. He has managed to create just 2 chances so far.
Joao Cancelo is second amongst defenders despite showing lesser attacking prowess compared to last season. He has fired 8 shots, 1 on target from which he scored a screamer and has provided 1 assist from 6 chances created. He is also top for Touches in the box (18) and Successful passes in the final third (147) amongst defenders. Cancelo is also a bonus point magnet as he has bagged 7 bonus points despite just 1 Goal and 1 Assist. Man City have kept 4 clean sheets which adds to his value.

Keiran Trippier follows Saliba and Cancelo with 1 Goal and 1 Assist. He is joint top amongst defenders for Chances Created (13) and top for Crosses (67) as well. Trippier is also on corners and free kicks for Newcastle.
• Overall FPL
Haaland and Kane lead most of the stats from FPL’s perspective. They are top for Points with 73 and 50, top for Bonus points with 12 and 10 and top for xGI with 7.29 and 5.42 respectively. Palinha has been suspended due to collecting 5 Yellow Cards already and those on the verge of getting suspended with 4 Yellow Cards include Jesus, Gordon, Tete, Neves, McTomminay and Smith.
