FPL 2022/23 ; Gameweek 3 : Clean Sheet Odds
Spurs are at home against Wolves with a 51% chance of a clean sheet. They are yet to keep a clean sheet this season but in their games against Southampton and Chelsea, they conceded an 2.23 xGA. We expect Wolves to pose lesser threat. The only problem is that Conte rotates his full backs a lot. Lloris and his centre halves are the safe route to this defence but they all offer no attacking returns. After his assist against Chelsea, Perisic could soon break into the team. Let’s monitor the situation. If you have a Wolves attacker , maybe it’s time to bench them!
Arsenal will travel to Bournemouth with a 50% chance of a clean sheet. The gunners have a 1 clean sheet in 2. Their record reads as 1.90 xGA. That is basically 1 big chance a game. We expect Bournemouth to sit back and as a result, their chances will be few and far in between. Zinchenko is proving his worth. But we don’t know yet if he is nailed. Ramsdale is a safer option. Start you arsenal defenders! or buy one if you are looking for a defender (Saliba £4.5m)
Chelsea will face Leeds with a 42% chance of a clean sheet. Though they conceded twice in GW 2 against Spurs, Chelsea’s xGA is just 2.13. That’s just above 2 chances. James is the proven Chelsea asset in that defence particularly when he plays right wing back as proven in the last 20 minutes where he scored and was denied an assist by a Havertz miss. Chilwell will be rotated.
So which defenders will you start in #GW3?
