FPL Daily Injury Updates (27/10/2023):
🔳 Newcastle – As of this morning (10am UK time), Newcastle still have not received confirmation of Sandro #Tonali’s impending ban, with Eddie Howe believing the midfielder as a “high chance” of still featuring at Wolves.
Alexander #Isak is getting a scan today so it’s very unlikely he will be involved at Wolves, but his groin injury is not as bad as first feared, Elliot #Anderson is set to miss up to eight weeks with a back injury.
Jacob #Murphy has a shoulder dislocation, he may need an operation and is seeing a specialist today. Joe #Willock will be available from the bench again, as he searches for his match sharpness.
Sven #Botman, Lewis #Miley, Alex #Murphy and Harvey #Barnes are all still out and Emil #Krafth is a doubt.
⚒️ West Ham – #Emerson Palmieri is suspended after reaching the yellow card threshold, Ben #Johnson or Aaron #Cresswell should replace him in the team. Both returned to the squad last night.
Vladimir #Coufal was not part of the travelling squad midweek, but David Moyes hinted that his muscular issue was more of a precautionary measure on Wednesday. However, there was injury updates during the broadcast section of his pre-match press conference this morning.
🍒 Bournemouth – Andoni Iraola has revealed that club captain #Neto sustained an ankle injury in training this week.
The goalkeeper will be absent until the international break at least.
Iraola confirmed that Andrei #Radu will start in goal in tomorrow’s game with Burnley, Neto has been under fire recently, so a big decision has been taken out of the managers hands.
Unlikely to be any further changes when it comes to the injury front. Currently Tyler #Adams, Ryan #Fredericks, and Emi #Marcondes are sidelined, be no other new injuries.
There are still a couple of players with normal issues. Knocks, but not nothing important that will take them out from the game tomorrow, Lewis #Cook is suspended, so Alex #Scott.. (not the female tv presenter) should play again.
🕊️ Brighton – De Zerbi reports no new injury concerns from last night. But he will make changes for this fixture against Fulham, the manager suggests #Lamptey and #Estupinan are getting close to a return.
Danny #Welbeck and Solly #March will be missing for a while as well long-term injury victim #Enciso. #Moder is still recovering from a long time injury and will probably miss out again.
🐔 Spurs – Pape #Sarr is fine, after coming off injured against Fulham, he bounced back a day after. He had a bit of an illness but has trained well.
Destiny #Udogie is going to be assessed, the coaches will have a look today, see how things go and make a decision after that.
Everyone else who was available have come through fine, Ben #Davies is fit again after missing the last game with a knock.
Yves #Bissouma returns to the squad after suspension, he could replace Pierre-Emile #Hojbjerg in the XI, although the Dane performed well on Monday night.
#Bentancur could be on the bench after a long injury lay-off, #Whiteman, #Sessegnon, #Perišić and #Solomon are all long term injuries.
🦅 Crystal Palace – Dean #Henderson, James #Tomkins, Ebere #Eze and Michael #Olise are all out of tomorrow night’s game against Spurs.
Holby City star and part time Palace right back Nathan #Ferguson looks set for surgery on a hamstring injury he suffered featuring for the U21 side in Tuesday night’s Premier League International Cup win over Monaco.
He has picked up a serious hamstring injury and is almost certain to need surgery on the problem.
Jeffrey #Schlupp returns to the squad after a hamstring injury.
🍷 Burnley – Connor #Roberts serves a one-match suspension for the red card he was shown against Brentford last week.
Nathan #Redmond is available having made his return from injury last week.
Michael #Obafemi has returned to training from a 4 month lay-off, however it’s unlikely he will be fit enough for a place in the matchday squad.
Burnley will have almost the same squad as last week, there will not be too many comebacks #Beyer is not ready, likely to be next week for #Benson, #Ekdal and #Gudmundsson also.
⚔️ Sheffield United – Does anyone care? 🤣. Ok let’s do it just in case.
George #Baldock has trained today and will tomorrow too, today was his first session since that international break with Greece, he could return to the squad.
One or two getting closer like Will #Osula and Max #Lowe but they are not available.
Oli #McBurnie (groin) hasn’t trained this week and will undergo a scan today, with McBurnie a doubt, Rhian #Brewster is available if needed.
Chris #Basham, Anel #Ahmedhodžić, John #Egan, Tom #Davies and #Jebbison are all out. Substitute goalkeeper Adam #Davies and Rhys #Norrington-Davies are both doubts.
🧿 Chelsea – Pochettino has ruled Armando #Broja out for tomorrow’s game against Brentford, Christopher #Nkunku is close to coming back. He is back out training on the pitches solo, he may be back just after the international break.
Reece #James is still only fit enough for a place on the bench, Chelsea do not have a penalty taker, the manager is happy for whoever feels confident enough to take them, whether it be #Palmer, #Enzo, #Jackson, or #Sterling.
Trevoh #Chalobah, Ben #Chilwell, Carney #Chukwuemeka, Wesley #Fofana and Romeo #Lavia are all still injured.
🌃 Man City – they were no injury updates from Pep Guardiola in this afternoons press conference, Kevin De #Bruyne and Manuel #Akanji were both already out through injury and suspension.
🟥 Liverpool – again, no injury updates from Jürgen Klopp this afternoon after yesterday’s game against Toulouse.
Andrew #Robertson, Curtis #Jones, Ben #Doak, Stefan #Bajcetic and Thiago #Alcantara are all out. Curtis Jones is a suspension.
