FPL Daily Injury Updates (20/10/2023):
 
🐝 BRENTFORD | Aaron Hickey is suspended for the visit of Burnley after picking up five bookings.
 
Mark Flekken has recovered from appendicitis, while Ben Mee could potentially return.
 
There was no word on Ethan Pinnock, who was reportedly prevented from joining up with Jamaica because of an Achilles problem.
 
Kevin Schade, Keane Lewis-Potter, Mikkel Damsgaard, Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva, Shandon Baptiste and Ivan Toney all remain out.
 
 
 
🦁 A’ VILLA | Aside from the recurrence issues suffered by Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno, Unai Emery has no new injury issues ahead of GW9. 
 
Emi Buendia and Tyrone Mings remain out long-term.
 
 
 
🌳 Nottingham Forest do NOT currently believe tomorrow’s match against Luton is at risk of postponement due to the weather. [The Athletic]
 
 
 
⚒️ WEST HAM | David Moyes confirmed on Friday that his international contingent seemed to have returned to London unscathed.
 
Ben Johnson (groin) and Aaron Cresswell (hamstring) have been back in training but the boss was unsure whether they’ll make GW9.
 
 
🕊️ BRIGHTON | The Seagulls will be without Pervis Estupinan (muscle) and Tariq Lamptey (muscle) for GW9. 
 
In better news, James Milner has been passed fit.
 
There was no update from De Zerbi on Igor or Mitoma, suggesting all is well with those two.
 
 
 
🐺 WOLVES | O’Neil said that Wolves had a “couple of issues” ahead of GW9.
 
Hugo Bueno (knee) missed GW8 and Rayan Ait-Nouri was pulled out of Morocco duty.
 
Lemina and Semedo are suspended but Bellegarde returns after serving his ban. 
 
 
 
⬜️ FULHAM | Marco Silva reported no new injuries from the international break. 
 
Adama Traore, Kenny Tete, Tosin and Issa Diop are out of Monday’s fixture versus Spurs. 
 
 
 
🎩 LUTON | The Hatters have lost Mads Andersen (hamstring) for “months”.
 
Amari’i Bell (hamstring) also remains out but is only a short-term absentee.
 
Positively, Gabriel Osho and Andros Townsend could make the squad this weekend. 
 
 
🔴 LIVERPOOL | Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Robertson is set to undergo surgery on his shoulder injury and will be out for a “while”.
 
The Athletic are reporting a timeframe of around three months.
 
Klopp cited Tsimikas, Gomez and Chambers as potential LB options.
 
 
 
👹 MAN UTD | Casemiro picked up a “very” short-term injury playing for Brazil and will miss GW9.
 
Raphael Varane and Sergio Reguilon are available, as is Sofyan Amrabat.
 
Victor Lindelof is “ready to play” despite the tragic events during Sweden’s game in Belgium.
 
 
 
🦅 C’ PALACE | Ward, Doucoure, Franca, Lerma and Ahamada are ready to return.
 
Eze (hamstring), Henderson (thigh), Olise (hamstring) and Schlupp (groin) remain out.
 
Tomkins (calf) has been added to the injury list.

Chris Mepham is fit and Alex Scott is back on the grass.

🔵 MAN CITY | Rodri returns from suspension this weekend, leaving only Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring) on the sidelines for the visit of Brighton.
 
John Stones built up his match fitness with two run-outs for England over the international break.
 
 
 
🐔 SPURS | Ange Postecoglou reports no new injury concerns over the international break.

Brennan Johnson has trained over the break and will be assessed prior to Monday’s game against Fulham.
 
Rodrigo Bentancur has returned to full training and will be eased back following long-term injury.
 
 
⚫️ NEWCASTLE | Sven Botman “is improving” from the injury that kept him out of Gameweek’s 7 and 8.
 
Alexander Isak hasn’t trained ahead of GW9 but a late call will be made on the forward’s availability.
 
Eddie Howe is hopeful Joelinton will be back to face Crystal Palace this weekend.
 
Joe Willock has trained this week but Saturday will likely come too soon for the midfielder.
 
Sandro Tonali is available for selection.
 
 
🔫 ARSENAL | Bukayo Saka “wants to play” in GW9 but Arteta was very coy on the Englishman’s fitness status.

William Saliba has been carrying his toe injury “for weeks” and his availability will be determined after training today.
 
 
⚔️ SHEFF UTD | Chris Basham has undergone two operations and remains in hospital after his injury in GW8.
 
Tom Davies and John Egan have also had surgery and will be out long-term.
 
Ben Osborn could return for GW9, George Baldock is “getting closer”.
 
 
 
🍬 EVERTON | Idrissa Gueye is fit and available after missing GW8 with a knock, according to Dyche. 
 
Seamus Coleman is back in training but this weekend comes too soon.
 
Dele and Andre Gomes remain out. All the internationals have returned injury-free.
 
 
🍷 BURNLEY | Vincent Kompany stated that “a few” of his players are coming back from injury but will need to be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game.
 
Ameen Al-Dakhil, Jordan Beyer, Jóhann Berg Gudmundsson, Manuel Benson and Nathan Redmond had all been doubtful ahead of GW9.
 
Darko Churlinov made an appearance for North Macedonia earlier this week after overcoming suspected blood poisoning.
 
 
 
🌳 N’ FOREST | Cooper has revealed Montiel picked up a calf injury on international duty with Argentina.
 
Aurier was injured in GW8 and is a doubt. Awoniyi is “not far off some training” and will be assessed next week. 
 
Aina, Tavares, Danilo and Felipe remain out.
