FPL 2022/23 : Defender Differentials (<10%)
1 min read
Dunk (£4.5, 1.7%): The BHA captain has been the biggest offensive threat among their defenders all the three latest seasons resulting in a total of 9G + 3A. In the opening eight fixtures, BHA face only MUN from the top six of the previous season. BHA conceded six fewest goals (44) and had the sixth lowest xGA (47.21) in PL 21/22.
Jonny (£4.5, 1.3%): Positioned as a wingback Jonny scored twice playing a total of 1022´ in PL 21/22. For defenders priced below £5.5 his xGI of 0.19 per 90´ is among the best offensive numbers one can find. GW1-GW6 for WOL includes games against LEE(A), FUL(H), BOU(A) and SOU(H). If Jonny starts regularly, he could be a gem.
Jansson (£4.5, 3.0%): With 10/15 first matches having an FDR of 2 it is hard to not take a look at the BRE assets. Jansson had the highest xG (4.59) of all defenders last season and registered 3G + 4A. BRE had the eighth lowest xGA (49.50) but conceded 56 goals, if BRE gets better return on their underlying numbers through clean sheets Jansson could harvest fine returns.
