FPL 2022/23 Best Budget Picks :
1) Andreas Pereira (£4.5m) Fulham:
Our first budget pick of choice is Fulham’s Andreas Pereira (£4.5m), as I believe having a 4.5 million 5th mid-fielder is a viable strategy for all successful FPL managers. What attracts me the most in the former Man united man is not only his appealing price tag, but also his advanced attacking role as he was stationed just behind Alexander Mitrovic in the pre-season friendly games since he made his move this summer. Despite playing for the always relegation-threatened Fulham side, he will be my 5th mid-fielder this season, not to mention he is the 4th owned mid-fielder in the game with 23% ownership so far.
2) Neco Williams(£4.0m) Nott’m Forest:
Finding a £4.0m playing defender at the start of the season, have always been a gift for all FPL managers across the years. The Welsh young man has made the move from Liverpool to Forest this summer looking for a regular starting spot & as we have seen in the pre-season games so far, Forest manager Steve Cooper seems to be sticking to wing-backs system, which may even makes Williams further appealing & more of a mid-fielder than a defender. No matters Nottingham Forest could keep their impressive defensive championship form of last season in the PL (only 28 goals conceded in t38 games), Williams will definitely be in my team comes the start of the season!
3) Nathan Patterson (£4.0m) Everton:
Just like Neco Williams, as we agreed any playing £4.0m playing defender is a gift for all of us, though it’s a little bit different issue with Nathan Patterson. The young Scot has played all Everton 3 Pre-season friendlies in USA & was deployed as a wing back for Frank Lampard side in the absence of skipper (Seamus Coleman). We expect Patterson to be a possible starter for GW 1 & 2 until Coleman can recover from injury , so if you are short of budget, Patterson could be an option at least for the early GWs of the season !
