🏥 FPL Daily Injury Updates (17/08/2023) :

🟣 A’ VILLA | Bertrand Traoré and Jhon Durán have returned to training, with Alex Moreno close to rejoining the group. Jacob Ramsey is still “some weeks away” from a return to training, while Emi Buendía and Tyrone Mings are long-term absentees.

🔴 Bajcetic and Thiago are “really close” to a return but GW2 will come too soon.

🐝 Mathias Jensen has recovered from the injury he suffered in GW1. Thomas Frank has confirmed he will start against Fulham. Frank Onyeka (knock) is available, too, but Ivan Toney remains suspended.

⚒️ David Moyes expects to have a fully fit squad for the visit of Chelsea, with new signings James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez available for selection.

🐺 It’s all quiet on the team news front at Wolves. Gary O’Neil confirmed that he had no fresh injuries ahead of the visit of Brighton.

🍬 Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to be involved against Aston Villa, having got more game-time under his belt in a midweek behind-closed-doors game.
🗣️ “He certainly comes straight back into the thinking”

⬜️ Marco Silva has confirmed that Aleksandar Mitrovic will miss the visit of Brentford with an ankle problem. Joao Palhinha has recovered from a shoulder injury and will be part of the matchday squad “at least”.

🔵 “A few important players are not here, will not be here, and John [Stones] is out, and Bernardo [Silva] is out, and Ruben [Dias] I don’t know.” – Pep Guardiola

🐔Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Cristian Romero is “good to go”, having picked up a head injury vs Brentford. The Spurs boss said there was otherwise no change to the team news so Sessegnon, Gil, Bentancur, Forster and Whiteman are presumably still out.

👹 Lisandro Martinez trained on Thursday and should be available after his half-time withdrawal in GW1. GW2 will come too soon for Rasmus Hojlund. Amad and Mainoo remain sidelined.

🕊️Tariq Lamptey will play for the u21s to build his fitness.  Adam Webster and Adam Lallana could come into contention.

🧿 Pochettino on Reece James 🗣️

“It is not a few days, it is a few weeks. The good thing is it is not a big issue.”
However, Poch did say they were taking it “day-by-day”.

🍒 Smith, Fredericks, Tavernier, Marcondes, Scott, Ouattara and Cook will all miss GW2.
Lloyd Kelly could be back from his own recent lay-off, however, having returned to training.
Marcos Senesi and Max Aarons are fine after cramping up in GW1.

⚫️ No change on the injury front for the Magpies.
“I don’t think we have anyone returning from injury but the majority of the squad are in a good place.”
Meanwhile, Lewis Hall looks set to join the club from Chelsea according to Howe.
